Characteristics of a student who are gifted and talented

Visual Arts

Abilities:

Students that are artistically talented frequently exhibit talent in their chosen
field, whether it be sculpting, painting, ceramics, drawing, or another one.
Students that are artistically talented frequently demonstrate a great sense of
creativity. They take chances, use modern methods, interesting materials, and
push the limits of art. Students that are artistically talented frequently want to
express themselves via their art and perceive it as an extension of themselves.

Strengths:

Students with artistic aptitude display a fluidity of expression, they demonstrate

the integration of perception, feeling, and thought. They are exceptionally
creative and there is a directness to the expression that is inspired by personally
significant events. Talented students who are artists live their art, they are a part
of it. They express an innate yearning for visual expression through their very
individualized art. They typically have intellect levels above average.

Weaknesses:
They are unable to quickly write down their ideas, they don’t require inputs. A
thought inspires another. In some areas, they could have a highly developed
sense. (For instance, motion, space, rhythm, or color.)

Music

Abilities:

High musical talent results in a natural ability to perceive all the components of
music. Children follow along with their bodies since they lack the vocal range or
instrument proficiency to match this. In a similar vein, a musically talented child
will be able to identify songs from just a few sounds.

Strengths:

Gifted and talented students in music demonstrate early evidence of expert

performance, outstanding listening skills (including rapid memorization, analysis,
and evaluative ability), and superior understanding of musical information.

Weaknesses:

Learners can occasionally struggle with working in teams, fitting into new genres,
or dealing with performance anxiety because of high expectations, which can
cause burnout. They may also encounter difficulties when experimenting with
various musical genres or working in teams because their abilities could be more
focused.
