Reason of vector group selection of transformer YNd11 & YNyn0 for unit
aux transformer & Station transformer.

The phase shift in the Transformers needs to be grouped at New TPP, for that a
combination of YNd11 (GT) & Dyn1 (UAT) ensures Phase Reference: GRID at 6.6kV
Service Bus at TPP

Also note that YNyn0 Trafo introduces ZERO phase Shift, Hence Phase Reference shall
remains the same.

Reason for Ynd11 & Dyn1 combination for Generator & UAT ->

 30Deg Lead & 30Deg Lag Compensate

 Ground fault Isolation, thus generator Stator Core is effectively protected by an
High Impedance Grounding, which inherently its specific ZONE

Reason for Ynyn0 for ST ->

 Phase reference at EHV Bus (say 132kV as indicated) & at UAT bus (say 6.6kV
as indicated) are same
 ST & UAT & GT can be paralleled
 For Plant black start system earthing at UAT Bus is achieved (say 6.6kV as
indicated)
 Ground fault Isolation, thus generator Stator Core is effectively protected by an
High Impedance Grounding, which inherently its specific ZONE

In similar to above, criteria can be established for any industrial system 

Always try to understand requirement:

Do we need?
 To parallel transformer
 To make a separate zone of earthing
 To back charge the system
 To export power in either sides

When you have all above answers, VECTOR GROUP CRITERIA CAN BE
ESTABLISHED
