This document discusses the automated systems used in gaming. It describes the various sensors like acoustic, accelerometer, and proximity sensors that detect sound, movement, and touch to increase realism and human interaction. The microprocessor processes readings from these sensors and sends them to the game console for further processing to stimulate real in-game events. This results in a more immersive virtual reality gaming experience. Actuators provide haptic, trigger resistance, audio, and visual feedback to the player.

• Gaming device involves a range of sensors to give a degree of realism to games. • The sensors are: • Acoustic: detects sound signals and converts them into an electrical signal. • Accelerometer: measure acceleration and deceleration and respond to titling the gaming device forward/backward and side to side. • Proximity: used in smart touchpads; embedded in touchpads that can detect hand/finger position thus increasing user awareness. (Increased human interaction with the game, allowing players to move as if they are doing the action as it is simulated within the game.) • Pressure: detects, regulates, or monitors pressure, and converts perceived physical data into an electronic signal. • Microprocessor: • The microprocessor in the controller (microcontroller) processes readings, as well as sending and receiving readings from the game console via WIFI, Bluetooth to the game console for further processing. • There is human interaction with the game which allows players to take actions that stimulate real events happening. • This results in a more immersive gaming experience. [Virtual Reality] • Actuators: • Provides haptic feedback. • Adaptive triggers provide resistance. • Speakers provide audio feedback. • Lighting provides further visual feedbacks.
