TUTORIAL

PRINCESS GUARD
(プリンセスガード)

a.k.a. Fake Venus Gospel/Ennis Emboss

22.5cm | 20g

Hi!

This is the tutorial for my fake Venus Gospel.

Idea for this came about probably around July 2020 upon purchasing the "incorrect" G-Specs
(ballpen). This didn't stop me from modding.

Since I was eager to mod, I built a prototype which used Daiso Neon Blackboard Markers but I
didn't like the barrels - the paint flaked away too fast.

So, the grips and tip package were sitting in a mod I was unhappy with. Eventually, I decided to
transfer the grip/tips on the Faber-Castell Textliners which resulted to a very good mod.

Plus, we have a secret source in the Philippines which would make this mod cost us only about
USD 10 (and modding skills).
Hence, this is my cheaper, easier to build, local alternative for Venus Gospel.

My goal today as a modder is to allow younger spinners who can't afford famous mods to be
able to spin/make/own nice mods that feel close to famous mod(s) for a lesser cost.

Anyway,

START!!!!

MATERIALS:
● 3x Faber-Castell Textliner or Slim Permanent marker
○ 3rd piece is just for the middle spacer as with Venus Gospel using CT cap, and
Ikusafude using Fabrico
● 2x Dong-A Anyball
● 2x Pilot Supergrip
● 2x Pilot G-Spec Ballpen
● 1x Lil Hands (connector)
○ This is super common in the Philippines and the barrel is basically a 2mm longer
Miffy. Use any connector as you please.

****Optional: 2x Airfit Jell rings

PREPARATION

STEP 1: GRIPS

Prepare your grips as if you were making a Venus Gospel. Anyball would use 3 stripes instead
of 2 though. See attached pictures below

Yep. Just like Venus Gospel. Front half, then rear half of rear half.
Venus Gospel uses 2|1. This goes around the 6 stripes of SG grip and under the smooth part of
SG grip.

Remaining 6 stripes will serve as filler. I only used 4 on mine. This goes around the G-Spec
plastic tip and under the 3 stripes of Anyball.

Optional AF Jell rings may be added to sit on top of the smooth part's lip.

STEP 2: BARRELS
Remove caps, nose, ink, and backplug. Barrels measure 9.6cm each. These are a bit thicker
than Emboss, and is nearly straight throughout.

Remove cap, nose, ink, and backplug. Use 4cm to 4.5cm. Up to you. I used 4cm on mine.
STEP 3: TIP PACKAGE

Disassemble your G-Spec BP. You only need the plastic tip and 1.9cm of the front part of its
tube. Remaining tube can be used for my personal Emboss; Testarossa. More on that later.

You will end up with this. Plastic tip screwed onto chopped tube. This weighs a little over 2g
Above uses plastic tip, below uses metal tip from Full Black G-Spec. This will make tip package
about 4g

ASSEMBLY

STEP 1: BODY

Slide the 1cm FC middle spacer on your middle connector. Connect the FC barrels
Insert tip package like this.
This may fit a little loose. Don't worry - the grips will fix it.

STEP 2: GRIPS
If you are familiar with Venus Gospel, the gripping for my mod is almost exactly the same. See
below.

Rear half of G-Spec rear half

Supergrip smoothpart
3 stripes of Anyball to fill in the gap. This still isn't enough; there's still wobble room for the tip
stack and SG space still not filled up.

4 stripes of SG (8|7|6|5). Definitely no more wobble and SG fills up nicely. You can add an AF
Jell ring on top if you like.

Final step, slide the G-Spec front half. Repeat for the other side.

FINISH!

Pointed out by abc - ends resemble those chrome wheels and white side walls seen commonly
on 50s muscle cars such as the Thunderbird and Bel-Air.
Its colorway is even reminiscent of this Thunderbird!

But to me, it reminds me of a Porsche 930 Turbo 😁
