Job Title: Music Technician & Demonstrator

Reports to: PM Music & Creative Arts Tech Manager

Grade LC5

ROLE SUMMARY:
Provide technical support within relevant specialism by procuring, preparing, servicing and
monitoring resources. Assist with the planning of learning activities and delivery of
instruction/assessment within the relevant department.

SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Maintain and Service Recording Studios
2. Ensure Ensemble and Practice Rooms are well maintained and frequently checked.
3. Setup and sound engineer music performances and gigs as required.
4. Demonstrate Music equipment with learners as appropriate and facilitate
small workshops.

5. Advise on purchase of new equipment and resources by staying current


with technological innovations and developments within the Music industry.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure health and safety is at the forefront of delivery, following all relevant policies.
2. Ensure servicing and repairs of equipment/resources is carried out, including fault checking and
reporting any further investigation necessary to management.
3. Ensure workspaces are clean, tidy and safe.
4. Ensure efficient use of materials/resources.
5. Organise, prepare and dispense materials, resources and equipment for learning situations.
6. Provide instruction to learners on a one-to-one and group basis within the workspace.
7. Assess learners by observation.
8. Contribute to team meetings.
9. Maintain records and assist with administrative duties as required.
10. Act as a first aider.
11. Provide high levels of customer service.
