Philippine Youth Development Plan

2017-2022
Goals of PYDP
The primary goal of the PYDP specifically is to address
concerns on various youth issues and bring development
among the different centers: 1.) health; 2.) education; 3.)
environment; 4.) social inclusion & equality; 5.) security
and peace building; 6.) active citizenship; 7.) governance;
8.) global mobility; and 9.) economic empowerment.

The strategies identified under each center in the PYDP


hopefully address pressing issues and concerns of the
Filipino youth through collaborative efforts of national
agencies, local government units and other stakeholders

Defining Participation

Participation in this plan means activity among the youth.


It is action-oriented.
It entails youth attendance and immersion in programs and projects
conceptualized and implemented for, by, and with them.
It builds upon awareness, knowledge, attitude, and intent.
Thus, in the long term, participation translates to the youth’s
proactive and constant engagement in the development of
Philippine society.
