Stolle Optimus Can Washer PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Stolle Optimus Can Washer is the most water and heat-
efficient system available to wash, rinse and treat 2-piece
beverage cans. It includes multiple advanced sustainability
features to reduce water consumption/discharge and energy
requirements, including compatibility with alternative
energy sources. The washer’s modular design allows it to be
customized for specific customer requirements which may
include additional rinse stages, heated stages, counterflows
and backflows.
The Optimus Washer features a closed-loop system that
minimizes water and discharge volumes. Fresh water is Pump side of
introduced at final rinse stage where cans are the cleanest, Optimus Washer
then is filtered and recycled through the previous stages. Oil is with vacuum transfer unit
removed from the water by Stolle-designed coalescer units. LLH water
distribution
The Stolle Optimus Washer comes complete with an automatic system allows
height-adjustable vacuum transfer unit, tipped can reject for multiple
conveyor, modular heater skid and Stolle coalescers. All these heat sources
components are integrated into the control system that’s operated
from a user-friendly HMI.

Stolle Optimus Washer features:

• Optimum flows & system pressures with pipework, pumps
and valves sized to reduce water & chemical usage
• Low Loss Header (LLH) heated water water distribution system:
– Allows for multiple heat source circuits (up to 6 (3MW)),
including heat recovery systems from can line ovens
– Hydraulic separation of primary and secondary circuits
– Heat recovery from RTO and other sources
– Cascade system for efficient and effective boiler use
• Energy-saving pumps with Grundfos IE5 high efficiency CRNE
smart motors with intelligent controls
• Reduced solutions carry-over between stages, incorporating:
– Independent blow-off systems after each stage to effectively
remove solution and water from can domes
– Independent belt vacuum and brush systems assist in
minimizing carry-over which improves can conductivity profiles
• Optimum nozzle selection and maximum number per spray bar
• Fine auto-adjustment on hold-downs, Intralox main and
hold-down belts
• Adjustable side guards and a third hinged side rail Top: Plate heat exchangers are
positioned for easy access and Top: Upper and lower spray bar
• VFD control on all pumps/fans and butterfly valves in maintenance and nozzle assemblies
pipework allow for fine tuning of washer setup Bottom: Single-point adjustment Bottom: Grundfos IE5 high
• Rugged construction from European-sourced continuously- of all blow-off nozzles efficiency CRNE smart pump motor
welded 316L stainless steel
• Integral safety showers and wash-down hoses
• Reduced washer footprint saves plant floor space
– Allows capacity increase in smaller floor space
