Decoherence Subjective Round Instructions

October 2023

1. The duration of the exam is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This includes the time
taken to scan and upload your answer sheets along with other formalities.
Note that the deadline is strict and no submissions after 7 p.m. will be
accepted.
2. You may write your answers on a sheet of paper or a tab. You may also
type if necessary.
3. The exam is open book and open internet. However, you must properly
cite all the sources you use. Not citing the sources may lead to penalties.
4. You are not allowed to discuss any aspect of questions of the paper with
a person not in your team. Any violation of this clause will lead to dis-
qualification from Pravega Decoherence 2023.
5. All questions are compulsory and the distribution of marks will be in-
formed later.
6. Partial credit may be awarded if you make progress in a question but do
not reach the answer.
7. For submission you must send a mail along with a pdf attachment to mail
id

8. The email subject for submission should be Subjective Submission Deco-


herence followed by the team name. For example, if the team name is
ABC XYZ the subject should be Subjective Submission Decoherence ABC
XYZ. You must name the pdf as DecoSub followed by the team name. For
example, if the team name is ABC XYZ the pdf name should be DecoSub
ABC XYZ.

9. You must submit answers to all questions in one single pdf file. You
may use concatenation tools available online if necessary.
10. Only one submission per team(not per participant) i.e. only one mail
per team will be accepted.

11. For clarifications you can send an email to deco2023subjectiveSubmission@gmail.com.
The subject should be Subjective Clarification to email-id followed by the
team name. For example, if the team name is ABC XYZ the subject
should be Subjective Clarification ABC XYZ. You can type your query in
the mailbox or upload a pdf. Clearly mention the question number for
which you are raising the query.
12. Responses to all queries and any clarifications will be updated on the
clarification document. The document will be shared with you for viewing.
