DESIGN OF CAM FOLLOWER MECHANISM

1.1 Level 2 section

Use Heading 2 for the level 2 section title. For the body text uses the style “Normal”.

1.1.1 Level 3 Section

Use Heading 3 for the level 3 section title.

Figures must be centered. The figures must be “inline with text”.

For the figure caption, use one of the 2 methods below:

 Select the figure, right click and select “Insert Caption …”, then select the
label “Figure”.
 Copy and paste an existing caption from this template. Select and press
F9 to update.

Make sure to mention all figures/tables within the text using the Cross-reference tool
available in the INSERT tab. In the “Cross-reference” window, select the Reference
type (figure, table, heading, equation, etc.). Finally select “Insert reference to: Only
label and number”. For example, the operation of the hydraulic press machine is
illustrated in Figure 1.

Figure 1: Hydraulic press machine [1]

For table, the recommended table style is shown in Table 1. Most of the time, tables
do not require colour. The quality of the table content is more important than the
appearance.

Figure captions should be below the figures; table heads should appear above the
tables. Insert figures and tables after they are cited in the text. Each figure and table
needs to be referred to and explained in the text.

1.1.1.1 Level 4 Section

Use Heading 4 for the level 4 section title.

Equations and formulae should be typed clearly by using an appropriate equation

editor and numbered according to its sequence of order within the chapter. Below is
an example of writing an equation:

6
I prev (i , j)+I fut (i , j)
I ip (i , j)=
2
(1)

Equation numbers, within parentheses, are to position flush right.

1.1.1.1.1 Level 5 Section

Use Heading 5 for the level 5 section title.

Select the style is IEEE.

To cite a new reference, go to Reference Tab  Insert Citation  select “add new
source”

Add the appropriate fields, example:

To add the citation number in the text, Reference Tab  Insert Citation  select the
desired source.

Do not forget to select all (Ctrl+a) and then update field codes F9 to make sure your
changes get propagated.
