Teachers’ Day Celebration

Anchor 1: A very good afternoon and a warm welcome to everyone

present today. It’s that time of the year where we honour our
second parents – our teachers. As said by A.P.J Abdul Kalam,
“Teachers are the backbone of any country, the pillar upon which all
aspirations are converted into realities." Today, we have gathered
here to celebrate a day dedicated to the torchbearers of knowledge
and wisdom. Yes, today is Teachers’ Day! We extend our sincerest
gratitude to each educator who has shaped and transformed
countless lives with their dedication, strength, and wisdom.
Anchor 2: Indeed, let’s fill the air with a spirit of respect and love for
our teachers. The essence of Teachers’ Day lies in the
heartwarming appreciation of our mentors, who continuously inspire
and shape us into the individuals we are.
Anchor 1: Today, we, the students of the History Department have
prepared a number of performances ranging from singing to
dancing and to recitations. Each segment is a hearty celebration
imbued with gratitude.
Anchor 2: So, without further ado, let’s unfurl this beautiful tapestry
of performances that our talented students have prepared to honour
their educators. So, just sit back and enjoy the show! Let’s
commence this programme with a big round of applause!
Anchor 1: Kicking off today’s festivities is a music programme –
music has the power to touch our souls. To pay a musical tribute to
our teachers, let’s invite the musical ensemble comprising of
Debarati Pan, Riddho Nandi, Rudrarup Paul, Senjuti Sasmal and
Srija Dey to perform a medley of Bengali and English songs.
