Goldman Sachs Cover Letter

Dear Goldman Sachs Recruitment Team,

I am writing to express my enthusiastic interest in the Goldman Sachs Degree Apprenticeship in FICC
and Equities (Sales and Trading), as advertised. With a strong academic foundation, a passion for
finance, and a track record of leadership and determination, I am confident in my ability to
contribute to and thrive in the dynamic environment at Goldman Sachs.

I am currently completing 4 A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics, alongside this I
have also completed an EPQ based on the involvement of AI in the stock market and how AI will
affect analysts. This academic background has equipped me with a robust foundation, providing me
with a sound understanding of financial markets. Complementing my theoretical knowledge, I have
actively sought real-world experiences through work-experience programmes and extracurricular
activities.

What sets me apart is my commitment to continuous learning and adaptability. I have demonstrated
leadership in various capacities, including my role as captain of my football team (both outside and
inside of school) and also a senior instructor within my karate club.

I am particularly drawn to Goldman Sachs because of its reputation for excellence, commitment to
innovation, and its diverse and collaborative work environment. The prospect of working with
industry leaders in Sales and Trading at Goldman Sachs is both exciting and aligns seamlessly with my
career aspirations. I am eager to bring my skills, passion, and determination to Goldman Sachs and
contribute to the success of the FICC and Equities team. I am confident that my academic
achievements, coupled with my dedication, make me a strong candidate for this apprenticeship.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to further discuss how
my skills and experiences align with the goals of Goldman Sachs.

Sincerely,

Ryan Goverdhan Sharma
