VII. Project description

Background of the project:

Barangay Oro Site in Legazpi City is home to many children who face challenges in terms
of nutrition and overall health. Due to poverty and limited access to nutritious food, many
children in the community suffer from malnutrition, which can have long-term effects on their
physical and cognitive development. These children are at a disadvantage in school and in their
future prospects, making it crucial to address the issue.
The community faces several obstacles in improving the situation, including a lack of
resources, limited access to information about nutrition, and limited engagement from families
and community members. The government and other organizations have attempted to address
these issues, but the impact has been limited due to the lack of a comprehensive and engaging
approach.
Nourishing Futures aims to tackle these challenges by using creative and engaging activities
such as games, dancing, and singing to promote healthy diets and lifestyles among the children
and families in the community. The program will focus on education and awareness, providing
information and resources to help families make healthier food choices. The goal is to create a
sustainable impact on the health and well-being of the children in the area, promoting their
overall development and brightening their futures. This project will not include a feeding
program.

Justification of the project:

The expected output of the project is an increased level of happiness and engagement
among the children in the community. By participating in fun activities, children will have an
opportunity to build new relationships, learn new skills, and engage in meaningful experiences
that can positively impact their mental health and happiness.
The program's advantages are vast, and they will be felt by the children, their families, and
the community as a whole. The initiative will aim to build a more dynamic and connected
community where children are supported and appreciated by providing them with chances for
fun and involvement. This can lead to greater mental health and well-being, as well as increased
academic achievement and a brighter future for the children
This Engagement is a vital initiative that provides much-needed fun and engagement
opportunities for the community's youngsters. The program has the ability to significantly affect
the lives of the children, their families, and the community as a whole by concentrating on
activities such as games, dancing, and singing. The initiative is an investment in the community's
future, and its benefits will be seen for decades to come.
