Outreach Project Proposal

Title: Kapit-Bisig Outreach Program

Kapit-Bisig Outreach Program is a proposed project which aims to assist, support, and

uplift people who are underprivileged in life. This program is specifically designed to

reach children who are abandoned, abused, and neglected. This outreach program will be

held in one chosen bahay kanlungan or shelter house where the aforementioned people

are residing and will be facilitated by volunteers in the church. However, prior to the

program, 2 weeks will be allotted for fundraising and to prepare and gather donations

from people who want to give clothes and things to the people in the shelter. During the

day of the program, it will start off at exactly 9:00 AM in the morning and will start with

a prayer. The entire time in the morning will be used for the game activities that are by

groups. While the volunteers administer the activities of the children, others will prepare

the foods as there will be a community meal that will happen during lunch and snack time.

After lunch time, the program will now proceed to watching a Christian cartoon movie

that will touch and impart lessons to the children in the process. The teachings will then

continue after the movie which will be done by the volunteers. They will share and teach

the children from God’s word in a child-friendly way in which they can understand it.

The teachings will include: a. who is God, b. how to pray and its importance, c. how to

love in accordance with God's word—in both word and deed, d. importance of worship

and going to God in both good and bad times, and so forth. After the teachings, the

snacks will be shared to everyone and the program will then end with a thank you speech

and prayer.
With this program, the church will not only help the children physically, mentally, and

emotionally, but also in terms of spiritual health by reaching out and introducing them to

the word of God. By doing this project, this can also open greater opportunities to the

children such as other people donating to them and even considering adoption. Not only

that, but the success of this project may also lead to more outreach program done by the

church and other people will also be inspired to start an outreach program to different

communities in different parts of the country.
