“If you want to go to heaven, you have to offload the things that you
don’t need,” said by Father Jerry Orbos in the Homily that has inspired me
to start being kind to myself and not let things become problems that
shouldn't be problems in the first place. An example of this is my desire to
have a lot of money for the things I want to do and buy for my family, but
too much is bad and sometimes, because of wanting too much, we don’t
realize that we are changing and that change turns out to be negative.
That is why, like what Father Orbos said, we have to offload the things that
we don’t need, and we must be contented with what we have because
contentment results to happiness, and with happiness we will be more kind
to people which is what God wants us to be.
