Element of Art: The two elements that I think that stand out the most in the
artwork are value and form. Since the artwork is a portrait made with charcoal and
graphite, the portrait is made with value to define how light or dark the certain parts of
the face and clothes of the person. Form is also evident in the artwork as it gives the
illusion of a real person through the use of value.
Principle of Art: There are two principles of art that I have noticed in the artwork–
emphasis and proportion. In a portrait, emphasis is one of the most used principle, and in
this artwork emphasis is done to emphasize the person in the middle. The second principle
that I noticed is the proportion. Since the artwork’s subject is portraiture, the person
drawn should be proportioned in order to show a realistic and accurate face of a person.
Is the art aesthetic?
The art is aesthetic as it showcases the beauty of the culture and tradition of
Baguio and Cordillera.

Element of Art: In this artwork, the element of art that stood out the most for me is
the form. The artwork is a miniature house craft made with simple materials such as
barbeque sticks, crepe paper, cardboard box, and paint. Using these materials, a form of a
house was made which can be seen from different angles and perspectives.
Principle of Art: The principle of art that is the most noticeable in the artwork is
proportion. Since it is a miniature house, correct proportion is needed to form a house. It
is also important as it makes the artwork accurate in size and shape as well as the color
and texture of the house.

The art is aesthetic as it displays the distinctive style of Thailand’s traditional house.
