PROJECT BACKGROUND
In the year 3000 BC candles have been around which then served as a light to
the people. Years later, candle holders that are made out of clay existed which made
people’s lives more bearable. In line with that, people call these “Candelabras” which are
candle holders made out of gold, silver, brass, copper, iron or crystal. From the early
1800s, the term "candelabra" became common. However, the term has evolved since
then, from the traditional singular 'candelabrum' and plural 'candelabra' to the currently
more usual singular of candelabra and plural candelabras. The silver candle holder
became etiquette to the household at the dinner table that served as designs at the end
of the meal. The name "candelabrum" came from the Latin word "candelabrum," which
means "candle-tree." This is attributed to the candelabrum's various versions which
resemble the branches of a tree spreading out in all directions. Etruria and Rome were
the birthplaces of the candelabrum. Bronze candelabra are commonly found in Etruscan
and Pompeiian ruins. The large and grandiose candelabra used in temples and public
buildings date back to ancient Rome. They were made of bronze or marble and had
triangular pedestals from which rose columnar shafts that were artistically sculpted and
ended in a basin for holding illuminating oil and incense. Italian Renaissance painters
used these as inspiration to create magnificent candelabra in a variety of materials for
altars, churches, and processions. Although electrical fixtures have mostly replaced
candlelight in modern times, the candelabra style remains quite popular. This is
especially true of chandeliers, which are essentially light-filled candelabras dangling from
the ceiling.
Candle holders are becoming more and more modern as years pass by; it comes
with different designs and sizes. During this present time, people utilize candle lights for
emergency, ceremonial purposes, and decorative during celebrations. Additionally,
candle holders provide secure and safe base for candles to avoid accidents. Candles
are a delightful way to add warmth to your house or create a romantic atmosphere at a
party. Lighting a candle also helps to relax and soothe your mind, body, and soul by
1
creating a quiet and comforting ambiance. Candles were once the primary source of
light, but now with the help of candle holders, it became essential as it provides support
to hold candles. There are quite a few reasons why we should always consider having a
candle holder namely, candle holders can change the outlook of your house from simple
looking it is becoming sophisticated. Another advantage of candle holders is that they
prevent hot wax from splattering all over the place that can cause mess.
These items are designed to entice newcomers and to beautify homes for special
occasions. Visitor’s attention is drawn to the location and illumination, as well as the
design. During the night, it is also generating a lively and pleasant mood. It is also
recyclable because it is made out of bamboo and you can find bamboo anywhere. This
product is good for businesses because it’s not seasonal. The designs of the proponents
created are unique and can be a good decoration at home specially for people who
loves classic designs. The material of this product is durable and comparable to the
normal candle holders that sell in the market. The purpose of this study is to innovate
existing products into eco-friendly way the proponents want to know if bamboo candle
holder can be on trend because this product is design more on eco-friendly and it is also
designed for good aesthetics to the top of altars and tables this is also good for the
restaurants that has classic themed places.

Chapter 2
MARKET STUDY
The proponents target market are the people who lives around the City of San
Fernando, Pampanga ages 20-65 years old and are those who has potential to be a
target consumer. It aims to know who can be a potential consumer who walks or pass
through the neighborhood.
San Fernando, formally the City of San Fernando, is the capital of the province of
Pampanga and a first-class component city. It lies 66 kilometers (41 miles) north of
Manila, 73 kilometers (45 miles) east of Subic in Zambales, 58 kilometers (36 miles)
south of Tarlac City in Tarlac, and 17 kilometers (11 miles) south of Clark Air Base in
Angeles City, and is the regional center of Central Luzon.
Approximately 66.74 kilometers is the square of San Fernando. The listed target
market with a number of seven (7) places within the barangay are Del Pilar, Del Carmen,
Calulut, Dolores, Maimpis, Magliman, and Sindalan.
3
The average household size in San Fernando is 4.83, which means that a
household has roughly five (5) persons on average. A family with two (2) living parents
and three (3) children is a common form of home. According to the NSO, the average
household size in the City, was 5.00 in 2003 and 4.96 in 2007. The lowering trend in
average household size is a sign of growing parental responsibility knowledge and
practice.
Distribution of Gender and Age. Males (50.4%) and Females (49.6%) make up
nearly equal proportions of the population. This same distribution may be seen in all
barangays. In 22 barangays, including Northville, males outweigh females to a small
amount. In 14 barangays, however, there are slightly more female than males. However,
the proportional differences between male and female populations are negligible.
The roles that men and women play in society have changed dramatically.
Women in particular, like males, have been "breadwinners" for several decades they
have become active members of the labor force. As a result, it may be assumed that
gender distribution has no effect on productivity compared to the labor force because no
gender, male or female, can be deemed more productive than the other.
The competition is fierce since the proponents' competitors are well-known in the
market. With their tenacity, the proponents will do all possible to break into the industry.
The proponents' goal is to not only provide quality to their customers, but also to satisfy
them and provide exceptional service.

content. Silica is well-known for increasing plant drought resistance, increasing photosynthesis
and chlorophyll content, improving tolerance to salt and heavy metals, and increasing yields and
crop quality. According to research, the presence of silica in the soil has an alkalizing effect on
plants and alleviates many stresses. This is why it's found in a variety of fertilizers. Bamboo
culms, branches, leaves, new shoots, and even roots and rhizomes can all be composted.
Cutting and shredding the bamboo can speed up the process of composting bamboo.

The basis of the business is the organization and management. The available resources
allow the business to enhance the success towards the goal. In this chapter it talks about the
organizational structure, capitalization, the management policies, system and strategies.
Type of Organization
The line type structure was chosen by the proponents because it allows for a direct flow
of authority from the highest position to the lowest subordinate. Each member of the
organization has a different set of responsibilities and roles, as well as whom they report to. The
line types have a role in attaining the company’s goals.
Form of Organization
Because of its ease of formation and lack of legal restrictions, the proponents have
chosen to form a Partnership, which is less expensive to arrange. Since more people may
contribute money, property, and industry, more capital is accumulated. It has superior
management as there are more people in charge of running and managing the firm, as well as
dealing with its challenges. Decision-making would be quicker and more flexible, including
collective wisdom.
