Objective: The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize first-year students with the essential features
of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. These skills are fundamental for academic and professional
tasks.

Instructions:

Part 1: Microsoft Excel

1. Open a new Excel spreadsheet.

2. Create a table with at least five columns and ten rows.

3. Enter sample data into the table.

4. Apply basic formatting (e.g., bold, italic, and underline) to some of the cells.

5. Create a simple formula to calculate the average of a set of numbers.

6. Insert a chart based on the data in your table.

Part 2: Microsoft Word

1. Open a new Word document.

2. Type a one-page essay on a topic of your choice.

3. Format the document using different fonts, font sizes (12), and text styles (Times New Roman).

4. Insert a header and footer with your group name and page number.

5. Create a bulleted or numbered list within the document.

6. Add a hyperlink to an external website.

Part 3: Microsoft PowerPoint

1. Open a new PowerPoint presentation.

2. Create a title slide with your name and the assignment title.

3. Add at least three content slides with relevant information (use bullet points).

4. Insert an image and video into one of the slides.

5. Apply a theme to your presentation.

6. Add slide transitions and set automatic slide timings.

Submission Guidelines:

• Save your Excel spreadsheet, Word document, and PowerPoint presentation with your name and
the respective application (e.g., "Hunsen H._ExcelAssignment.xlsx").

• Compile all files into a single folder.


• Submit the folder through the designated platform by (TOMORROW).

Evaluation Criteria: Your assignment will be assessed based on:

• Correct application of basic features in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Clarity and organization of content.

• Proper use of formatting options.

• Creativity in presentation design (for PowerPoint).
