Section 3 - Details

All aeronautical products held by NTS must be handled and stored in accordance with the NTS-2040 procedure, standards and specifications
described in the Aeronautical Product Storage Guide and\or in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications of the product.
In addition to the standards and specification, the following general principles will be applied to the storing of all products.

All products will:


• be labelled and identified;
• be protected from damage and contamination;
• be in the box or plastic bag, bubble wrap or clear wrapping;
• where practical, stored in their original shipping containers;
• be stored separately from commercial and non-aviation items;
• unprotected metal surfaces will be covered adequately;
• details recorded on the tag match the details of the part received;
• plugs, caps and blanks are fitted to all ports;

Please review the attached examples where the storage of the product was found not appropriatele, and how the product must be stored in NTS.

Supervisor will conduct regular walkarounds with every team members, to ensure NTS complient with storage requiremens and general
houskeeping.
