Lets talk about the said issue.
Ever since Covid-19 Pandemic broke out, we became more aware, that the said virus
is not not a joke. In fact, the virus kills not only hundreds, thousands but millions of
people across the globe. This pandemic is an airborne virus which means that it is
transmitted through air and droplets, which cause a widespread threat to every human
being. But in-spite of this virus, which in fact is still active, according to the study in

the 2 new variant of Covid-19 has immunity from Covid-19 vaccine, yet the
opposition still want to implement mandatory face to face classes.
We are all aware that implementation of mandatory face to face classes has
advantages, in fact according to DOH that was published on may 27, 2022

Well, if we analyze it deeper in our current situation, we are still in the midst of
Covid-19 pandemic. It means that there is still threat on everyone's heath. According
to the latest statistics in world meters info, people who are affected by corona virus is
over 655 million across the globe. Though over 630m has been recovered, yet

there are more than 6m people who just died this yr because of the pandemic. And
if we talk about here in our country almost 7,908 Covid-19 active cases were recorded
just this week, and 150 Filipino people died in the same week, and among those 150
Filipino people 24 of them died just this day. Imagine 150 deaths recorded this week,
while there is 52 weeks in a year, so there will be 7,800 deaths in a year. How come,
that a person accept the implementation of this so called Mandatory Face to Face class
if there’s a risk or should I say threat in every persons life.

The proposition might say that, that is why we have health protocol that will be
conducted whenever Face to Face classes is being implemented, and those health
protocol is made to avoid the transmission of Covid-19 virus and to provide a safety
among students and teachers. Yes it’s true, but even establishment or even hospitals
has health protocols. I give you my idea that happens in reality, Fourteen physicians
who died tested positive for the virus according to the Philippine Medical
Association. Dr. Oscar Tinio, the spokesman and former president of the Philippine
Medical Association said that, more than 1 in 10 of those who have been reported
positive in virus, have died of the corona-virus in the Philippines. Did you get it, If the
doctors or experts who has PPE or personal protective equipment's and who are
guided by safety and health protocols failed to protect themselves, how can we not
fail too ?

We are human being, we have capacity, we have limitations, we are not immortals to
be invincible, would a wise person willing to risk peoples lives, just to implement this
face to face classes ?
Dr. Oscar adage might kindle you, he quoted :
“And I think some doctors also felt invincible. ... But basically, I think we failed to protect
ourselves — completely "

Everyone is aware that every children need Education, for it is important not just to
gain knowledge but also to build a strong foundation of their own future. But as a
human being would 150 deaths in a week is a small number for you to take risk
implementing Face to Face classes? I mean, how many lives would you like to be
taken for you to understand that Life matters?

Therefore I conclude :
We should not implement mandatory face to face classes unless there will be no risk
or threat on every person’s life. Look further, what is our goal in implementing face to
face classes ? to have education ? well, we can also attain education even without
implementing face to face classes at least we are not risking any single life here.
Remember we need education to have a better life, and not to risk lives.

And before I end my speech, ill leave you the first part of the verse Act 20:28

I know most of us are familiar with this “Take heed therefor to yourselves and to all
the flock” only means that we have to take care ourselves.
When we said taking care of ourselves means we are not risking it by any means. It is
clear to everyone, that this phrase should not be neglected nor be disobeyed.
