DMR Install/Update/Recovery Instruction

1. Install

1.1 Download and open BPS tool software on PC, please get at followed linkage

https://boxchiptt.com/pages/bps

1.2 Power on the unit and connect it to PC via USB cable

1.3 The BPS will detect the device automatically. you will see model number and serial
number at top-left of BPS
1.4 Choose the correct Frequency Range according your hardware. If you are not sure
about this information please find it at label. Click “OK” when BPS tips “This operation
will clear all customization”.
1.5 Program and write customization into the unit. For first “Write” operation, BPS will
tip “Can’t get frequency range, force to write customization?”, please click “Yes” when
you make sure step 4 is correct.
1.6 Click “Install Apk” button at BPS toolbar for install BiMR. BiMR will start up on the
unit automatically when install success.
1.7 Allow all required access permission on the unit and keep BiMR is running
2. Update

2.1 Click “Update” button at BPS toolbar and Click “Open” to choose the DMR
Firmware Binary file

Generally, the DMR Firmware Binary file should be at path “BPS Install Directory/default/C200-Rxx.yy.zzz.bin”
2.2 Click “Update” button to start, the update process will automatically be going on
the unit after several seconds, you will see “Updating” pop-up message at BiMR

2.3 Please wait for update process finish, it will take 2 or 3 minutes. BiMR will restart
automatically when update success, click “OK” button at BPS to exit update.
3. Recovery

3.1 DO NOT operate “Erase all data (factory reset)” or any other reset action when
update failed, just click “Retry” at pop-up dialog try it again.

3.2 If still fail to update DMR firmware, please restart the unit, copy DMR Firmware
Recovery APK from PC path “BPS Installation Directory/adb/
boxchip_biup_vx.y.zz.apk”and copy a file “BPS Installation Directory/default/C200-
Rxx.yy.zzz.bin” to unit “Internal shared Storage”.

3.3 Install BiUp from “Files” or “File Manager” at unit.

3.4 Open BiUp APP and select the file “C200-Rxx.yy.zzz.bin” to update.

3.5 Wait for BiUp show “Update OK”, close and remove BiUp, open BiMR.
3.6 For check the DMR Firmware Version, please enter menu
“BiMRMoreAbout”
