Abstract: The diversity that Indonesia has in terms of culture is very diverse, every community in a nation
or country must have a culture, with different styles and forms. Likewise with the cultural traditions of the
residents of Bolo village, Ujung pangkah sub-district during the month of Ramadan. This year there is an
obstacle in the form of a Corona virus pandemic or can be called the Covid -19 pandemic which has an
influence on various sectors, one of which is the cultural or traditional sector. Therefore, this research was
conducted, to find out the transformation that occurred in the tradition in Bolo village, Ujung pangkah
sub-district, Gresik district during Ramadan due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The method used is qualitative
methodology by conducting interviews with several Bolo villagers. Based on the results of the study, it can
be seen that this year there are slight changes in the traditions of Bolo village during the month of
Ramadan, such as takbiran activities which are usually carried out by going around the village, now only
replaced by takbiran in the mosque during Ramadan. Transformation also occurs in the community,
where previously prayers were no longer spaced, namely close to each other, since the existence of Covid
19 the distance between communities has been widened to about 1 meter
