CENOZOIC ERA

The Cenozoic Era, the third of Earth's major eras, began


roughly 66 million years ago and continues to the
present. It was the period of time during which Earth's
flora and fauna evolved toward the current state and the
continents attained their current configuration and
geographic placements.

PROTEROZOIC EON
The most recent division of the Precambrian is the
Proterozoic Eon. With a start and end date of 2.5 billion
years ago and 541 million years ago, it is also the
longest geologic eon.

MESOZOIC ERA
Second of Earth's three primary
geologic eras during the
Phanerozoic period is the Mesozoic Era.
The Mesozoic Era began 252.2 million
years ago, at the end of the
Paleozoic Era, and ended 66 million years
ago, at the beginning of the
Cenozoic Era; its name is derived from
the Greek word for "middle life."

It explains why events happen throughout earth's history. It presents the


correct sequence of events in earth's history and make a graphic organizer of
the significant events and interactions between science, technology and society
throughout history.
