Precambrian is the earliest of the geologic ages, which are
marked by different layers of sedimentary rock.
The Precambrian accounts for 88% of the Earth’s geologic
time.
Precambrian Era was named before Cambria the latinised
word for Wales where the first Rock in this age examined.
The Precambrian (colored red in the timeline figure) is an
informal unit of geologic time, subdivided into three eons
(Hadean, Archean, Proterozoic) ohf the geologic time scale.
