Tree planting

By: Crizanne Barsatan

Global warming and climate change are one of the most urgent problems we
are now dealing with.

Devastating effects including increasing sea levels, and increasing natural

disasters are being brought on by the Earth’s temperature’s rapid rise.

Cutting down trees for commercial purposes, such as selling timber or

building materials, is one of the major issues that we encounter in our town
that contributes to climate change and global warming.

Selling woods

Land-use
Infrastructure expansion

Due to its projected contribution of 10% to global greenhouse gas emissions,

cutting down trees is a significant factor in global warming. As a result of
the destruction of forests for logging, agriculture, and other uses, not only it
reduces the number of trees that are available to absorb carbon dioxide, but
the carbon that was once held in the biomass is now released as carbon
dioxide back into the atmosphere. This creates a negative feedback loop
which causes trees to become less effective at reducing the consequences of
climate change as more of them are cut down.

Furthermore, cutting down trees can also harm the environment in other
ways, such as destroying biodiversity, upsetting regional water cycles, and
causing soil erosion.
It may also have an impact on climate change by lowering the quantity of
moisture released into the sky through evapotranspiration, which may alter
rainfall patterns and cause droughts in some areas.

Like in our community, there is now erosion, destruction of roads, and

flooding in those near the river because more and more people are taking
wood. And even though many warnings are said, it is still not fulfilled
because even the officials are also the sellers of wood.

Solution: There are many effective ways to combat climate change or global
warming, but one of the easiest is to plant trees. By planting trees, we can
reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase biodiversity, and contribute to
sustainable development. It is a cost-effective and efficient way to address
our community and our planet's environmental challenges.
Planting trees is a critical solution for mitigating the effects of climate
change or global warming. It is simple to implement and has numerous
benefits. It is essential for preserving a healthy and sustainable
environment, improving air quality, and averting natural disasters. While
not a complete solution, it is an important tool in our fight against climate
change and global warming, and we should all work together to plant more
trees in order to create a healthier and more sustainable future planet.
