“How To Make Grubi”

Hello everyone
Let us introduce ourselves. My name is Ahmad Afif and I am Dwika
Tiofahma Ashari. “Grubi” is a traditional cake made from sweet potatoes, and we
would explain how to make “Grubi”. First, prepare material and ingredients.
Material :
-1 kg sweet potato
-6.75 lt of water
-200 ml cooking oil
Ingredients :
-60 gr granulated sugar
-200 gr brown sugar
-1 tbs baking soda

Steps :
1. Peel sweet potatoes
2. Soak in water
3. Shave the sweet potato over 1.5 liter of water basin
4. Wash briefly
5. Then sieve sweet potatoes
6. Mix 1 tbs of baking soda into 5 liters of water
7. Soak shaved sweet potato in baking soda water for about 15 minutes
8. Cook brown sugar and granulated sugar and in 250 ml of water
9. Take it if it’s thick
10. Heat 200 ml of cooking oil in a pan by medium heat
11. Add the shaved sweet potato
12. Stir well until slightly dry
13. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar that has been cooked
14. Stir for a while moments until slightly sticky and well mixed
15. Turn off the stove
16. Take a spoonful
17. Shape using a mold
18. Let it cool until it hardens
19. Keep it in a jar
20. Grubi ready to be served

“Grubi” cake has a crunchy, and sweet texture.You can find “Grubi” at the
traditional market.
