Course Description: Sustainable Production and Waste Management System

Course Schedule: November 2nd person lecturer and November 6th on Zoom

Week 1: Introduction to
Overview of course objectives, structure, and expectations
• Introduction to key concepts and themes of waste minimisation reduction practices and analysis
of waste stream map in production and consumption.
Week 2:

• Discussion: In group
• Assignment: Please draw the Process Flow Diagram of your choice, identify/assess the factory,
and then provide 5 to 10 suggestions/recommendations for waste reduction and minimisation
approaches.
Grade Scale:
Process Flow Diagram – 50 points
Number of suggestions – 10 points for each recommendation/suggestion
