WHAT IS A SCHEDULE A?
• Schedule A is Engineering’s main design engineering product, for new
process units or revamps. Other work includes revamp studies and
proposals.

• “Schedule A” Is the first Section of the Engineering Agreement that

outlines the scope of UOP work (deliverables) to be included in the
design specifications.

• The design “Black” book has become synonymous with this part of the
Engineering Agreement (may be all electronic).

• Schedule A can be thought of as a legal document – if the process unit

is built per its specifications and standards, it will start up successfully
and make guarantee.
