I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:


a. recognize the difference between common and proper noun;
b. use capital letters properly; and
c. appreciate the use of common and proper nouns in our daily life.

a. Topic: Common Noun and Proper Noun
b. Reference: Internet ( http://www.slideshare.net/deianei ra 5/common proper noun
presentation).
c. Materials: Colored Paper, Marker, worksheets
d. Values: Appreciation and Understanding

1. Prayer

The wise Son
In Africa, in a country of Ghana, there
once lived a man who had three son’s.
One day, before he left on a long
journey, Mario gathered his son’s
around him. He gave each child an egg.
“ I will be gone for a long time.” He told
his son’s. “ Use these eggs to help you
mother”. But as soon as Mario left, the
two older boys cooked and ate their
eggs. The youngest boy, Elmo, gave his
egg to his mother, who put in under a
hen to hatch.
Many months later, Mario returned.
The youngest son prepared a feast to
welcome him back for he had many - The story happened in Africa, in
chickens and many eggs. the country of Ghana.
