At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

a. Recognize the difference between Common and Proper Noun


b. Use capital letters properly
c. Appreciate the use of common and proper nouns in our daily life

What is noun again?
Noun is a name of a person,thing,

I have here a table with 5 columns (person, place, thing,


animal and event). Besides the table are list of words. If -Yes Teacher
you believe that this word is a name of person then place (They will answer it)
this to its column and so the same with others.

There are many kinds of noun but today we will focus on
the first two kinds of nouns.

Now let’s define what is Common noun? Common nouns are used to name
persons, places, things, animals and
events in GENERAL. It refers to class

specific and begins with a small
letter.
