the main stream care.
A comprehensive approach to evaluates of health services by utilization and associates
measurer’s using mode of living is called auxiliary measure.

The well-known interventions in this area are Health education, Environmental modification, life
style and behavioral changes .

Auxiliary measures include diet chart, exercise, therapy, cleanliness, hygiene, health care etc. if
one out of these is lacking causes life style disorders.

*COMMON AUXILIARY MEASURES*

Normal slumber and wakefulness are essential for health.

Sleep is an ideal form of rest, physical as well as mental.

Proper and normal functioning of the excretory processes must be ensured in order to maintain
perfect health.

Proper sanitation.
Healthy accommodation.

Exercise and maintenance of a healthy weight.

A healthy low sodium diet rich in natural sources of potassium, calcium and fiber.
Anger, grief should be avoided and mental calmness should be present.

Avoids too much exposure to heat and cold and maintain body temperature.

Ancillary services are diagnostic or supportive measures that physicians may use to help treat
patients. ... Physical therapy, X-rays, lab tests and ultrasounds are examples of ancillary
services.

Generally, this can be broken down into three categories:

Custodial Services

*Diagnostic Services*

More often than not, diagnostic ancillary services are performed in hospitals to supplement the
work of a primary physician. These services revolve around testing and imaging tools to procure
necessary information, making them short-term, rather than long-term, service options. These
include:

Laboratory tests (bloodwork, urinalysis)


Radiology (X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound)
Genetic testing

*Therapeutic Services*

While diagnostic services focus on providing immediate information on a patient, therapeutic


services encompass longer-term treatment options to enhance overall health and well-being.
These include:

Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Language and Speech Therapy
Psychotherapy
As these fields are typically practiced by allied health professionals, physicians are often not
present nor required for therapeutic services. They are often used as a secondary treatment
after a hospital stay.

*Custodial Services*

The longest-term types of ancillary care, custodial services support patients while keeping them
as independent as possible. Custodial services provide solutions when at-home care is not
enough. These include:
Hospice care
Nursing facilities
Home healthcare
Rehabilitation facilities
Custodial services are also referred to as care-delivery services, as they include urgent care
and EMTs, as well as financial and legal specialists.
