Minutes of #132 Zinnov Toastmasters Meeting

Zinnov Toastmaster Meeting #132 was an exciting meeting with our new members joining our ZTC.
The meeting was kickstarted by our energetic Sergeant at Arms TM Shruti who laid down the three
ground rules of the meeting. Post that, she passed the mic to our Presiding Officer TM Kinjal. She
welcomed the new members and guests and declared the meeting open.

For the next segment, the stage was handed over to Toastmaster of the Day DTM Rishabh, who
introduced the theme “Teachers” celebrating the occasion of Teacher’s Day and described the
crucial role teachers plays in all our lives. He then introduced the General Evaluator TM Kinjal who
stated her role and evaluation criteria. Post that she introduced the Timer TM Anish, who explained
the timings for individual sections of the meeting. Followed by the Ah Counter TM Divya & The
Grammarian TM Richa, who laid down the various parameters on which she will be evaluating the
speeches.

Our first speech was given by one of our most experienced speakers in ZTC TM Gautham. His speech
titled “Day 1” shared his experiences on day 1 of various stages in his life. Filled with confusion,
curiosity and most of all, the learnings he received from his mentors. He walked the whole virtual
room through the guidance and mentorship he acquired from different individuals, emphasizing the
role of teachers in one’s life.

Next up in line was speech by another great speaker DTM Sindhuja who gave her Distinguished
Toastmaster Speech. Through her speech “What does 143 mean to you?”, she expressed her love
towards toastmaster club. How toastmasters helped her roam around the world, meet different
folks from various other toastmaster clubs and the learnings she gained on the way.

Reflecting on their past speeches, embracing their learnings, and embarking the journey ahead.
This evening both the speakers gave their path breaker speech, marking the next milestone of
their toastmaster journey.

Now it was time for exciting table topics prepared by Table Topic Master TM Ananya. “Never judge a
book by its cover”, a saying fairly known among the community. But this time, TTM Ananya brought
a different flavor to table topics by asking members to “describe the contents of the books written in
foreign languages through its cover”. It was a super fun round, witnessing toastmasters scratching
their heads out and giving hilarious descriptions.

After the table topics, five minutes were given for the evaluators and TAG team to prepare their
evaluations.

Post that exciting session the evaluation began. Evaluator for TM Gautham’s speech TM Shruti,
Evaluator for DTM Sindhuja’s speech TM Manas and the TAG team delivered their evaluation and
guided all the members on how to become effective speakers. After critical individual evaluation, GE
TM Kinjal shared her views on the overall conduct of the meeting.

After this session, GE TM Kinjal handed over the stage to the Presiding Officer TM Kinjal. She called
on the stage the SAA TM Shruti to conduct the voting for the best speakers and role takers of the
meeting. After the voting, Presiding Officer DTM Sindhuja handed over the virtual certificates to the
best speakers and role takers of Zinnov Toastmasters meeting #132.

Post this, Presiding Officer TM Kinjal thanked all the members and guests for sharing their learnings
and knowledge, making the meeting super fun and exciting and closed the meeting.
