Nowadays the issue concerning the quality of life is an actual one in our
society. According to the statistical data, the location is one of the key factors
that influence the quality of life. Urban and rural living have a lot of
distinguishing features which influence the quality of life to a great extent.
Urban living offers a great deal of opportunities to the people including high
level of education, a wide range of employment options. It is easier to find a
job in urban area and to get better education as there are a lot of different
companies, factories and as well as many educational institutions which give
a chance to the children to be well-educated and to find a good job. Those
people who live in urban areas have a chance to take an active part in
political, social and cultural events. Urban living also provides the best
opportunities for pleasure which include visiting theater, movies, museums,
art galleries, circus and so on. In additionally, Urban living tends to be more
expensive, with higher costs for housing, transportation, and other daily
expenses.
Rural living gives a chance to avoid heavy traffic, long lines in the stores,
feeling caged in the major urban complex. Moreover, rural population has a
high quality environment including green landscape areas which provides
fresh air to breath. Those almost of people who live in rural areas eat organic
food which good for human health. Besides, rural living generally offers a
lower cost of living, although it can vary depending on the region and
availability of services.
In conclusion, it is necessary to say that both urban and rural living have their
advantages and their drawbacks that is why it is difficult to say what location
is better for this or that individual. Everything depends upon the goals each
person tries to achieve in his/her life.
