Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
and Pinterest.
History
Social media history is born with the creation of
the internet in the 20th century. Humans
almost immediately figured a way to use it to

web forums. The first social network, that was
similar to what we know today, was called

Addiction to social networks has become a recurring and

Social media addiction is a behavioral disorder characterized by
a compulsive and uncontrollable need to be connected to social

anxiety, stress, irritability and lack of concentration when the
person moves away from social networks, decreased quality of
sleep, lack of productivity and interpersonal problems. Addiction
to social networks can affect the mental and emotional health of
