OBTEC I-3

After reading, answer the following question:

1. Why is important that you know your strengths and you acknowledge your
weaknesses?
• It is important to understand our own strengths in order to develop as
individuals. Knowing our strengths will enable us to set higher goals than
before. We are capable of far more than we previously believed. This could
also help us increase our self-esteem, because I believe that if we have enough
confidence, we can achieve and complete so much more in life. Recognizing
my flaws may assist me in being more self-aware. I want to set higher goals
and achieve more in life as a result, acknowledging me. By believing that I
can overcome my flaws, I can become stronger successfully. It will assist me
in furthering my personal development because I have objectives and goals
in life that I want to reach. Furthermore, because I know what I should do
with my life, it may help me become a better version of myself.

2. How did the concepts of ‘social self’ differ from what you already know?
• That having a high or poor self-esteem can have a significant impact on one's
ability to learn myself. If I have a low sense of self-worth, I may have a
pessimistic outlook on life. Having a high self-esteem, on the other hand, may
provide me the confidence to accomplish things appropriately in life.

3. When do you think it is ‘okay’ to want the attention of other people and when do
you think it is ‘not okay’?
• If people like what we're doing or saying, it's 'acceptable' to pay attention to
them. It's also 'not okay' if the people around you are uneasy or awkward
about what you're doing.
