The importance of sports for students

Most of us agree that doing sports is great. Students at primary and high
school usually have PE twice a week. We also have PE twice, on Monday and
Thursday. We play different sports for example volleyball, floorball and basketball. I
don’t really like PE lessons because we don’t have enough time to change our
clothes.
In my view there are other subjects that are more important than PE, like
English and Slovak, regardless of the fact that I like to do sports. But it depends on
students. There are students who want to be football players or basketball players.
They think sports are more important than knowing Maths or knowing every nation’
history. In my freetime I run on the treadmill and I also ride horses. In the summer I
was going horse riding twice a week, now only once a week. I think for example
Slovak is more important because we have to speak the language of our country if
we’ll work here. But I also think that we mustn’t forget about the importance of
sports. What is more, many of the teenagers are overweight because they don't do
any sports and they always eat fast food.
Our bodies are still growing and we must watch out for our health. That’s why
we have to do some sort of sports, like walking an hour everyday, running, playing
handball, swimming etc. In my opinion it’s hard to add more sports classes to our
school timetable because we have a lot of lessons. The best would be if everyone
did some sports at home. I do sports when I’m done with my homework and it
refreshes me. Others should also find some solutions for that too.
