The presentation introduces an eco-friendly building called Council House 2 located in Australia. It argues that building Council House 2 in Shanghai would help address the city's severe air pollution problems. The building maintains a constant comfortable temperature without air conditioning through cold water regulation. It also regulates sunlight and temperature through a rotating and opening/closing facade according to sun angles. Additionally, it improves air quality by removing bad air at night and drawing in fresh air during the day using wind power. Constructing more buildings like Council House 2 in Shanghai could decrease energy use and carbon emissions, contributing to a more sustainable future.

( Slide 1) Hello everyone! Today I’m going to present an eco-friendly building.
( Slide 2) First, what is an eco-friendly building? The eco-friendly building is minimal environmental impact and sustainable resource utilization of buildings that are used for human habitation and activities. ( Slide 3) Among the many eco-friendly buildings, the one I will introduce this time is called Council House 2. The Council House 2 is currently located in Australia and is considered the most creative in the world. I want this Council House 2 to be in Shanghai. ( Slide 4) China still uses coal as fuel in winter, and the number of cars has increased, and air pollution inland has become serious. So this building will help Shanghai with severe air pollution. ( Slide 5) Next, I’m going to explain how this building solves this problem. There are 3 main points. ( Slide 6) First, maintain temperature. There is no AC, but it maintains 24 degrees 24 hours a day. Compared to these large buildings, the cooling power is only 10%. It contains cold water, which regulates the temperature of the air to maintain the temperature. ( Slide 7) Next, the organic building. Buildings react and move according to the surrounding-environment. The facade of this building rotates, opens and closes according to the angle of the sun. The light of the incoming sun is regulated and the temperature is also regulated. ( Slide 8) Finally, the breathing building. The building removes bad air at night and draws 100% fresh air into the building during the day. Energy can be obtained using a wind generator. Also, it can reduce carbon emissions, which can reduce air pollution. ( Slide 9) After the day, if Council House 2 is built in Shanghai, it uses less energy. Thus, carbon emissions will naturally decrease. The more buildings there are like this, the more likely to achieve a sustainable future as soon as possible. ( Slide 10) Thank you for listening.
