Slide 5:Firstly, I’d like to tell you about Places and Population
•The Thai ethnic group-one of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. •They primarily reside in the
mountainous regions of northern Vietnam, namely Dien bien,lao cai,lai chau and son la
•They live in stilt houses. One of the architectural features of Thai stilt houses with many ethnic
characteristics is the stairs, which preserves the ethnic cultural and spiritual values, religious
values, and taboos about gender, giving birth.

Slide 6:Secondly ,let me tell you about the Thai people’s costumes

Thai women wear short dark or white dresses.They wear jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets,
earrings, hairpins, scarves...
There are two types of men's shirts, short blouses and long shirts. Short shirts are made of rough
fabric, long or short sleeves, round neck and has no decorative patterns.

Slide 7:Next up, let’s find out about their Traditions & customs

The Thai people speak a language belonging to the Tai-Kadai language family. They have their
own system of writing called "Tày Nùng" or "Thái Nùng" script. Thai culture is characterized by
vibrant traditional attire, folk dances, festivals, and colorful rituals.
Here as you can see in the picture,their writing looks very interesting and different from ours.(chỉ

Thai people worship their ancestors, worship the god of agriculture, and the god of rivers and
mountains.
Popular Thai games include shuttlecock throwing, tug of war, horse racing, boat riding,
crossbow shooting, spinning and achieve quick results.
Thai people have unique Xoe dances, singing poems, and rich love exchanges. The musical
instrument transmission system includes blue flutes and focal points.

Sticky rice, bamboo-tube rice, caned wine, and grilled foods are often considered characteristics
of Thai cuisine.
