password logon no longer possible---too many failed

Dear All,

I Have a problem with one user-id , with out entering the wrong password it automatically locked

4 to 5 times it is locking daily , no one not entering any wrong password,

why it's locking ? it shows this message : *password logon no longer possible---too many failed attempts*

what could be the reasion, please suggest me , if any one has answer for this give me the proper solution as

early as possible.

1 Log in with another User, with same roles and Unlock the user.

Use SU01 t-code to Unlock it.

Ask Basis/Security team to do the needful.

0 It's only possible if the user id is shared with multiple people trying from di erent locations..
however you can also get the details from SM21and look for "User-ID locked due to incorrect
logon.." message then see the details where you w'll nd the terminal from where it was tried to
connect.

Hi,

0 Ensure that the user has not been maintained in the logon data of any RFC connection. I have
noticed in the past.

Try to check in SUIM and also in the STAD tx.

Enable the user trace and check from where the login is taking place.

Hi everybody,

0 I have created a new client using SCC4.

I have logged into that client and had done LOCAL CLIENT COPY with sap_usr pro le

and scheduled it as a background job.

the job was also successfully completed.

but one day later when i tried to login into that particular client it is throwing the error:

'password logon is no longer possible - too many failed attempts'.


why it is happening, plz someone help me in this regard.

Hello,

how can i unlock the user SAP*?

When trying to connect with DDIC or another user I get the message "Logon not possible (error in license check".

Many thanks in advance for any help.

I experienced the same issue once on a test system, a temporary copy of the user was made,
the malfunctioning user was deleted, then we created it again by copy of the temporary user,
0
and nally we've deleted the temporary user.
