Coursework Submission Guidelines

Please follow the below given instructions when submitting coursework.

1. Referencing

You must use Harvard Referencing system throughout your work. Correct in-text referencing
is required and a full and correct reference list needs to be provided. Please note for academic
acceptance, it is important to refer to adequate sources in building critical arguments about
the specific coursework. Generally, the lecturer expects minimum of 20 to 25 latest sources
from accepted recommended journals, required reading and recommended readings.

Please note that plagiarism is treated as a serious offence and therefore the work you produce
must be individual and original although you may work in groups in some instances (Please
refer to Student Handbook on Plagiarism & Cheating). All sources of information must be
referenced using “IEEE referencing” where a reference listing should be included at the
end of the coursework.

2. Report Structure

▪ Paper Size: A4
▪ Word Count: As stated on the coursework
▪ Printing Margins: LHS; RHS: 1 Inch
▪ Binding Margin: ½ Inch
▪ Header and Footer: 1 Inch
▪ Basic Font Size: 12 (Text) 14 (Headings)
▪ Font Style: Arial/Times New Roman
▪ Presentation: MS Word Document

3. Submission of Coursework

• The final version of your individual and/or group coursework softcopy needs to be
uploaded to the Turnitin link that is provided on DMU Blackboard, before the
deadline. Please

note that you can submit your coursework any number of times, before the submission date.

• Next the final version of your individual coursework soft copy (word or pdf format only)
must be uploaded to DMU Blackboard Coursework link that is available on each
module shell, on or before the deadline.

Please log on to DMU Blackboard to upload your coursework. The softcopy should be
named as DMU QS (Module Code) (Group / Individual) (DMU P number/s) Eg:

❖ Contract and Law module (ARCH3815) Individual Coursework


submission you should name your coursework as given below.

• Please note the below submission procedure for Group and Individual Coursework

Only the Leader need to submit their Group Coursework, to their DMU
Blackboard shell individually.

• Students are expected to keep a backup of all the coursework. SCoT and DMU have all
the right to re call for soft copy of any coursework at any time during the course.

• Please note that the submission date given for this coursework is the final date that
you can upload the coursework. No late submissions are allowed by the system.

• Plagiarism rates must be maintained at less than 25% (unless specifically stated by the
lecturer)

• Please refer to Student Handbook on Coursework – Re-submission, mitigating


circumstances procedure.
