    Group Task: The Communicative Event

    A. Examining a Communicative Event

    1. Watch this video clip from Big Bang.

    2. Examine the communicative event.

    3. Determine why Leonard does not get what Sheldon is trying to depict through his drawing and vice
    versa.

    4. Using the terms/concepts that you learned in the Elements of Communication, discuss briefly why
    Sheldon and Leonard are not “getting” each other.

    B. How Do I Get It

    1. Look for a video clip (of not more than 5 minutes) of people trying to communicate with each other
    with no success,

    2. Determine what is/are preventing them from getting their message across to each other.

    3. Discuss this discovery in a short paragraph.

    4. Offer at least four (4) solutions to the communicative “crisis.” In bullets.

    Note:

    1. Don’t forget to include the link to the video you have examined.

    2. Submit this project in a file here on FB. Make sure all the members’ names are indicated.
