Task Requirement
In fulfilling the task, you will need the following:
● a canvas of prices and payment schemes offered for purchasing an expensive
product of your choice
● a comparison of the amount due for buying an item on a cash and installment basis
Goal
The goal is to be able to think critically and assess the implications of purchasing a product
on a cash or installment basis.
Role
You are a consumer looking for various purchase options for a particular product. You
want to inform others whether it is better to buy the item on a cash or installment basis.
Audience
The target audience is fellow consumers who are also interested in buying the same item
or product.
Situation
You are part of a community of consumers that provides information on smart buying
options. You are planning to buy an expensive item, and you want to analyze the
implications of buying the product on a cash or installment basis. You intend to share the
result of your analysis with your fellow consumers in the group.
Product
Based on the canvas of prices and installment schemes you gathered, compute the total
interest. Compare it with the amount due if the product is purchased on a cash basis.
Create a short explanation/presentation addressed to fellow consumers informing them of
their options and the implications of buying the product on a cash and installment basis.
Create a short video blog informing the viewers of their buying options for an
alternative digital presentation. Upload your video to YouTube and set the privacy
options to Unlisted. Send the link to your teacher.
