a) All material will be submit a material receiving report (MRR) after arrive at site.
b) DO, MDS and report with picture with submit for acceptance.
c) Materials shall be new, unused and free of damage.
b) Make sure materials are secured and stable during storage or handling.
c) Suitable lifting equipment for heavy lifts shall be used. Manual handling/lifting of smaller
bundles of material shall be undertaken at a minimum of two points by experienced personnel.
d) To prevent damage to material, never drag during loading / unloading.
e) Material shall be stored in a clean, dry and secured location. Especially avoiding
places where water might accumulate or where significant dust or dirt is present. If such a

location is not available; materials shall be stored on pallets or other appropriate means to
rise above the floor to avoid possible water levels, and wrapped in protective plastic sheeting
at both ends of the bundles.
a) Cable tray / trunking installation is either suspended across the hanging bracket from
soffit wall or direct mounted to wall/soffit when required. (e.g. connection to concealed
wiring point at electrical riser).
b) For direct mounted cable trunking, holes will be drilled to the base trunking and fasten
screw directly to the holes with plastic anchor which tightly inserted to the wall with 1200
mm (max.) spacing between the supporting screw. (Refer Appendix 4 Figure 4 & 5)
c) For suspended trunking system installation, the trunking will be laid horizontally on the
hanger system with minimum of 150 mm clearance from other mechanical and plumbing
services when in parallel running. In that case, holes will be drilled to the base of the
trunking in order to fasten screw to the angle iron and shall be provided with a minimum
clearance of 20mm in between side of trunking to threaded rod hanger for suspended
installation. (Refer Appendix 4 Figure 1,2,3)
d) Coupling sleeve shall be used to joint two lengths of trunking or connecting trunking to
their accessories i.e. elbow, tee etc. as according to manufacturer recommendation.
(Refer Appendix 3 Figure 1 for Trunking Coupling and accessories)
e) When a conduit or flexible conduit is required to joint with trunking, a standard hole (20
mm or 25mm dia.) will be bored at side of trunking and male bush with conduit socket or
lock nut with flexible adaptor to be used for the connection. (Refer to Appendix 3 Figure
2&3)

6.1 General
All inspection and testing shall be carried out to satisfy the criteria that shall be
evidence in the relevant inspection documents as detailed in the inspection and test
plan.
The receiving inspection is carried out to ensure that incoming materials will not be
used until it has been inspected and verified for conformance to specification.
Inspection and verification shall be done on the material’s Delivery Order (D.O) with
Request for Material Inspection Check List. This inspection shall be performed in
conjunction with Sub-Contractor’s Supervisor, MAIN CONTRACTOR Site Supervisor
and Clerk of Work. Rejection or acceptance of material delivered shall be by the
discretion of the Sub-Contractor’s Supervisor with verification by his immediate
superior, the Engineer.
The in-process and final inspection shall be carried out to ensure conformance of the
installation works carried out on site to the method stated above. Prior to the inspection, a
copy of “Request for Inspection” form will be submitted to MAIN CONTRACTOR to request
for the inspection on the work done on site. The inspection result shall meet the
requirement as stated in the earlier methodology.

PULL OUT TEST METHOD STATEMENT FOR
HYDRAJAW PULL – OUT TESTER
1.0 OBJECTIVE
The objective of this pull-out test is to determine the adequacy of the existing or new
anchors to support the required tensile pull out resistance by using Hydrajaw Pull -
Out Tester
The Hydrajaw Pull – Out Tester able to test anchor from M5 – M20 and the maximum
capacity of the Hydrajaw are 2.5 tones / 25kN only.

4.0 TESTING PROCEDURES
The general guideline of operating Hydrajaw Pull-Out Tester may differ depending on site
condition & type of anchor to be tested.
1. The client or consultant may randomly choose the test points on site.
2. The surface of the surrounding of anchor to be tested should be even and clear of
obstructions to allow fixing of load spreading bridge.
3. Once the anchor has been set as per manufacturer’s instructions, the threaded-adaptor can
be fit. The minimum thread length of the anchor shall be at least equal to the diameter of the
anchor to ensure secure engagement into the threaded adaptor.
4. Remove the nut of the anchor if the minimum thread length of the anchor is insufficient to
ensure in secure engagement with threaded-adaptor. When the threaded-adaptor is securely
fitted to the anchor thread position, place the Hydrajaw pull-out tester over the threaded-
adaptor by slotting in through the hole in the load spreading bridge and make sure it is well
engaged in the pulling jaw of the pull-out tester.
5. Level the load spreading bridge with the adjustable legs before commencing the application
of the load.
6. Before the test, adjust the red pointer on the load gauge meter reading to zero.
7. Apply the tensile load by manually turning the knob handle screw clockwise gradually until
the required test load is obtained. Hold this load and observe any falling back of the gauge
pointer which would indicate movement and possible failure of the anchor.
8. Maintain the applied load for one (1) minute for observations and increase load if necessary,
for further observations.
9. Release the load on the anchor by turning the knob handle screw anti-clockwise and allowing
the jaw to return to the original position.
Remark: At high test load, the tested anchor will undergo ‘stress relaxation which causes a minor
decrease in load value (1- 2kN depending on the size of an anchor) and eventually stabilized within
2-5 minutes, this is normal and does not consider as a failure of an anchor. If this happens, simply re-
tighten the loading screw to the desire test load.
