ABSTRACT

India is a developing country where construction works of roads, buildings

etc.…, are going everywhere. To check the quality of construction Quality tests are to
be done on roads, buildings etc.… and also the materials use for construction purpose.
The quality of construction decides how long the buildings or roads can survive. Any
damage to the construction will cause a massive effect on the human lives and
economy. The contractor takes the project of the construction. The quality engineers
are the one who decide that the construction is in specified limits or not. By the reports
given by quality engineers funds and bills are released by government.

The details of some of the important tests conducted on materials used in

construction, concrete structures and bituminous roads used for construction are
discussed in the following pages of report.

From this project I have learned the different tests that are conducted on cement
concrete structures and bituminous roads and also the tests on aggregates used for
construction purpose in these six months of industrial training.
