At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to;
A. Define what is IMRaD;

B. Create a Research in IMRaD format; and

C. Value the importance of IMRaD format in creating research.

c. Checking of Attendance

A. ACTIVITY
Guide Questions:
1. How many parts did traditional research had?
2. What are the five (5) parts of traditional research?

B. ANALYSIS
The teacher will reinforce on the answers of the student by stating other informations regarding
traditional research, then introduce the IMRaD format.
Guide Question:
1. What is IMRaD?

C. ABSTRACTION
Guide Questions:
1. How did IMRaD format differ from the traditional format?
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of using IMRaD format?

After the students answer the questions, the teacher now will continue the presentation.

D. APPLICATION
Generalization:
1. What did you learn about the lesson?
2. How did IMRaD format differ from the Traditional one?
3. On your own insight, which is better, IMRaD or the Traditional one? Why?

Activity: Group Work


Directions: Consider your previous group and your finished output in Traditional Research, spawn or
generate your output into IMRaD format. This will be a 2 weeks group activity.
