WRITTEN REPORT

Your report must detail your process and evaluate your professional development
throughout the module. You will be expected to complete the assigned reading
and/or viewing each week, and critically reflect on these and your media objects in
your report. Your report should include a full bibliography and evidence of research.

In this module I managed to express myself more in the media world. This
module introduces me to interactive media projects and how to produce and
distribute them. We are thought to make our own brand to express ourselves.
As we can see here, the logo that I have made is a vector shape of a camera.
Because in my hometown people usually call me “Cen” that is why I substitute
the word “Cam” from the word Camera to Cenmera. The logo represents my
name and my hobby in it.

The logo is made of blue and black color because I like blue, and it represents
calmness, wisdom, stability, and inspiration. While black represents power and
elegance. The blue became the body of the camera and black became the lens
of the camera. The logo is inspired from the logo of Instagram, it shaped like a
polaroid, and it signifies focus, nostalgia, youthfulness and memories. I
completed this task by using Adobe Creative Express in my iPad, the app is
easy to use, and I have been using it several times to edit pictures and making
YouTube Thumbnails.

In section C, we are told to do a remix video content from the internet. The
purpose of this task is to tell a new story or make a political point by mashing up
different internet content. My remix video was about storytelling both from its
audio and visual. I made up my own story and wrote my own script, the story is
inspired by the song lyrics. The background music is also about the story that I
am telling. Not only that, I am also inspired by my own experience as an
international student that lived far away from my family. The audio was recorded
when it was my first two or three weeks living in the UK. This task motivates me
to make a good story and as a practice for my future job later as a Film Director.
I believe a great movie comes from an incredible writer and this task has been
in one of my drafts as a writer.

This work is done by Adobe Premiere Pro, because I am familiar with it it’s not a
big challenge for me to complete this task. The only challenge is to find the
perfect video content for my story. Because the story is about Growing Up, I
choose Disney Pictures as my video content. Disney has been everyone’s
favorite because of its family friendly story.

The Interactive video work is done by using Klynt. As my first time using it, it’s
quite challenging for me but I can understand it quickly. The interactive story is
about what you need to do before going out of your house in covid-19 situation.
For me this task is very interesting because from now on I know how to make
an interactive story later in my future job. Interactive story has been very
interesting for me, the first interactive video I have watched is from Netflix,
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Each decision affects the ending of the story and
some decision leads to death. Interactive Video gives us a lesson to think
before you react and every decision leads to many possibilities in a story. The
production process is quite challenging because I don’t know how it’s going to
go. First, I shot some footages using my phone because I want to make a POV
kind of story. After shooting all the footages that I need, I import all the footages
to Adobe Premiere Pro to trim and edit the footages. After exporting all the files
from Premiere Pro, I import all the edited footages to Klynt. Then all I need to do
is to connect all the footages together and make a loop in my story, so it goes
back-to-back. Now that I have known how to make an interactive story, I will use
Klynt for my next upcoming interactive video project.
