grown to be a national organization providing healthcare to numerous stakeholders in the Country, corporate and
medical aid industry. Areas of focus are health, education, and community development health projects.

KAUA Health Foundation is accredited with upgrade professional skills of its members by keeping them
updated and informed on skills assigned to them in the field of Occupational Health skill through adequate
training routines on how to handle issues when they arise.

KAUA Health Foundation is a legal registered Health Organization aimed for Training its members on
how to handle issues of Gender Based Violence, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Fighting against Early
Marriages and other negative vises of life. We are responsible for the educating, training and skills
development requirements of the health, social development and welfare of communities.

Our Objectives

diseases.
▪ To facilitate prevention early detection and management of non-communicable diseases.

 Gender Based Violence Safe House

Strengthen Positive Family Relationship

KAUA HEALTH FOUNDATION ensures victims of gender based GBV are safely secured and kept till they get a safer
place and offered training programmes for Communities so as to educate them on Gender Based Violence and
campaign to raise the awareness by promoting empowerment for both men and women. By doing sing so, the
organization believes in a 0% of Gender Based Violence, meaning communities will experience a none-violence and
equality between women and men. As a Health Foundation, it is our belief that all people must have equal right, be
able to safely exercise their own voice, and live free from intimidation, harassment, discrimination and violence.

Alcohol and Drug Addiction Awareness

KAUA Health Foundation offers health programmes that aims at educating communities on Druga and alcohol
abuse awareness by ensuring that prevention measures are undertaken and administered. By doing so, the
foundation focuses on supporting individual who recover from substance abuse and addiction by empowering them
with knowledgeable agendas that keeps them completely away from substance abuse.

Early Childhood Marriage Awareness

Our foundation focuses positively on several initiatives that focuses on presentation of marrying off of young girls
at a very young and tender age. Haua Health Foundation educates the girl child with information, skills and support
networks that may assist them from getting married at a tender age. It is our as Kaua Health Foundation to ensure
that parents are sensitized on negative health results of marrying off young girls as this may cause health risks such
as depression, sexually transmitted infections, cervical cancer and maternal mortality rate.

Our capabilities include:

GENERAL Health

KAUA HEALTH FOUNDATION has completed several projects that have prioritized General health.

Advocacy workshops, health counselling, mass screenings for lifestyle diseases (diabetes, hypertension, obesity and
cholesterol). HIV tests, breast screening, dental screening and extractions, and cervical screening. Through our
cervical screenings, we have managed to identify women with diagnosed overt cervical cancer and cervical pre-
cancerous lesions. These women would not have known about their status if not screened. Now, they can receive
the treatment and care needed for their diagnosis.

KAUA HEALTH FOUNDATION has supported reproductive health among teen women and donated and distributed
menstrual cups to learners.

Reproductive health projects. Empowering the community and school going children on reproductive health and
sexually transmitted diseases. As a result of this project, it had a seen a significant decline in teenage pregnancy in
the area where the workshops were implemented.
