 1. Mở bài:
Mục đích phần mở bài trong IELTS Writing Task 2 là để giới thiệu về chủ đề bài viết và đưa ra quan
điểm tổng quan của người viết. Hai mục đích này tương ứng với hai bước phân tích đề bài: giới hạn
chủ đề và xác định nhiệm vụ trong nội dung buổi 1.
Do đó, sau khi phân tích đề bài chính xác, người viết chỉ cần dành khoảng thời gian ngắn để viết một
mở bài đầy đủ chức năng với 2-3 câu như sau:
Câu 1-2: Giới thiệu chủ đề bài viết. (Viết lại đề bài theo văn của mình, có thể thêm thắt không làm đổi
nghĩa quá nhiều)
Câu 3: Trả lời yêu cầu của đề bài. (nhanh gọn không cầu kỳ)

Cách viết lại chủ đề

1. Đổi cấu trúc
a. Đổi vị trí của các mệnh đề (Nguyên nhân – Kết quả)
b. Đổi thể chủ động sang bị động và ngược lại
2. Đổi loại từ:
a. Đổi động từ sang danh từ và ngược lại
b. Đổi tính từ sang trạng từ và ngược lại
3. Từ đồng nghĩa

Ví dụ:
Advertisements are influencing us in a negative way. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

=> Our life is negatively influenced by advertisements nowadays
=> Humans are being impacted in an undesirable way by the advertising industry

 2. Thân bài - Cách phát triển luận điểm trong thân bài
Trong bài nghị luận task 2, thí sinh được yêu cầu bàn luận về một vấn đề xã hội và đưa ra quan điểm.
Khi đó, thí sinh cần đưa ra các ý tưởng, luận điểm của bản thân và làm rõ cũng như chứng minh các
luận điểm đó. Để phát triển luận điểm, người học có thể sử dụng cấu trúc PIE (Viết tắt của Point,
Illustration và Explanation). Đây là một cấu trúc lập luận chặt chẽ và áp dụng được cho nhiều dạng bài
khác nhau. Trong bài học hôm nay, người học sẽ làm quen và luyện tập áp dụng công thức này trong
bài viết. 2.

time playing sports. Why is this happening? Is this a positive or negative development?
On the one hand, there are many reasons for the popularity of video games over sports among
children. To begin with, most computer games these days are highly interactive and allow
players to immerse in a complex storyline and control characters at their own will. For instance,
Mortal Kombat 11 allows players to easily change the outcomes of the story based on the
character chosen, which can trigger the imagination and curiosity of children, and encourage

children who do not spend enough time with their siblings or parents are often more
vulnerable to social pressures, such as bullying, because they do not receive enough affection and
encouragement from their family. As a consequence, those children may grow up with low self-
esteem and even suffer from depression. Secondly, family relationships will greatly suffer
because it will become more difficult to bridge the generation gap between parents and children
without family bonding time. This usually leads to conflicts and unhappiness.

 3. Kết bài:
Mục đích của phần kết bài trong IELTS Writing Task 2 là để tóm tắt lại nội dung bài viết. Vì vậy, người
viết không cần phải triển khai hoặc mở rộng thêm ý ở mở bài, thay vào đó người viết nên chỉ viết 1-2 câu
để trả lời lại câu hỏi ở đề bài. Người viết có thể sử dụng cách “paraphrase” ở trên để hoàn thiện kết bài.
Ví dụ: Some people claim that it is acceptable to use animals in medical research for the benefit of human
beings, while other people argue that it is wrong.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Mở bài: People hold widely differing views on whether conducting tests on animals for the development of
new medicines is acceptable or not. Although using animals for medical research can benefit humans to
some extent, I would argue that it is morally wrong.
Kết bài: In conclusion, while it is true that animal testing plays a crucial role in the medical field, I am of
the opinion that it should be stopped owing to its inhumane nature.
