Modern Olympics

Historical background:
 In modern Olympics is known as the “World of Great Sports Event” and it is celebrated
in other countries every four years. It is originated in the year of 1896 the first edition of
modern Olympic Summer Games was been held in Athens (Greece). And for the first
Olympic Winter Games in 1924 at Chamonix (France). The one who proposed the
modern Olympics is “Pierre de Coubertin” who was a French educator and historian and
he is the one who reborn the Olympics. After he revive the modern Olympics is he have
founded the International Olympic Committee and he became a president to manage and
organize the first Olympic games of the modern century. In other years is that modern
Olympics can be already a popular Sport event in many countries. For modern Olympics
is that the first women athletes participating in the games held in Paris, France in 1900.
Then the Olympic games became an international event around the world.

Olympic Symbol, Motto and Creed:


 This is the symbol of Olympic Rings that represents the international nature of the Games
or Sports. And it was also the visual image that represent the billions of people including
the athletes who play each and each kind of sport they are preparing for their match or
competitions. It was created by Pierre de Coubertin by which he states that the Olympic
rings represent the Olympic movement and the activity. This symbol has Olympic color
versions which has the blue ring, yellow ring, black ring, green ring and the red ring. In
general, is the meaning is the Olympic universality. For the motto of Olympic is “Citius –
Altius – Fortius” as Latin words meaning “Faster – Higher - Stronger” which is stated
that “We can only go faster, we can only aim higher, we can only become stronger to
fight together”. For the creed is “The important thing in life is not the triumph, but the
fight; the essential thing is not to have won, but to fought well in each sport”.
