HEXAMETHYLENETETRAMINE

PROCESS EVALUATION
Process Evaluation

Presented in the table below is a summary of three processes available in the

production of hexamethylenetetramine. Each process is evaluated depending on the
area of concern presented. Its advantages and drawbacks are outlined for the basis of
process selection.

Process Ranking

The ten aforementioned constraints are taken into account when comparing the
three procedures. According to their level of importance, these restrictions are
evaluated. According to the significance of each constraint, a percentage was assigned
to it. The three processes are then rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 representing the
lowest score. For each phase, the scores are multiplied by the respective percentages
to get the final grade. Hexamethylenetetramine is produced using the procedure that
received the highest rating, which is considered the best procedure.

Based on the table below, the Process 3 which is the Gas-Liquid Phase Process
of Hexamethylenetetramine Production, is considered because it has the highest score.
