Cutting Instructions
Please note: all strips are cut across the width of fabric
(WOF) from selvage to selvage edge unless otherwise noted.
From the Home for Christmas Panel - Cream (A), fussy cut:
• (18) 5” blocks.
From the Birds - Dk. Blue (B), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (10) 2” squares.
From the Paisley - Cream (C), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (18) 2” squares.
From the Snowflake - Green (D), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (14) 2” squares.
From the Pinstripe - Cream/Red (E), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (6) 2” squares.
From the Swirly Star - Red (F), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (18) 2” squares.
From the Pinstripe - Cream/Blue (G), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (18) 2” squares.
From the Birds - Green (H), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (18) 2” squares.
From the Swirly Stars - Cream (I), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (18) 2” squares.
From the Snowflake - Lt. Blue (J), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (6) 2” squares.

• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (12) 2” squares.
From the Birds - Lt. Blue (L), cut:
• (2) 3 ½” x 29 ½” WOF strips.
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (8) 2” squares.
From the Paisley - Lt. Red (M), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (12) 2” squares.
• (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.
From the Swirly Star - Dk. Blue (N), cut:
• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (4) 2” squares.
From the Pinstripe - Green (O), cut:
• (2) 1 ½” x 29 ½” WOF strips.
• (2) 1 ½” x 27 ½” WOF strips.
From the Mini Houses - Lt. Blue (P), cut:
• (2) 3 ½” x 35 ½” WOF strips.
From the Mini Houses - Cream (Backing), cut:
• (1) 42” x 42” piece for the back.
Sewing Instructions
1. Sew (1) 2” Fabric B strip to the left side of (1) 2” Fabric C
square. Sew (1) 2” Fabric D square to the right side of the
Fabric C square to make the top row.
2. Sew (1) 2” Fabric E strip to the left side of (1) 2” Fabric F
square. Sew (1) 2” Fabric G square to the right side of the
Fabric F square to make the middle row.
3. Sew (1) 2” Fabric H strip to the left side of (1) 2” Fabric I
square. Sew (1) 2” Fabric J square to the right side of the
Fabric I square to make the bottom row.
4. Sew the (3) rows from Steps 1-3 together to make (1)
Block One square (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (6) Block One
squares total.

5. Repeat Steps 1-4 and use Figures 2 and 3 for fabric Quilt Top Assembly
identification and location to make (8) Block Two squares (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)
and (4) Block Three squares. 6. Sew (1) Block One square, (1) 5” Fabric A block, (1)
Block Two square, (1) 5” Fabric A block, (1) Block Three
square and (1) 5” Fabric A block together in that order to
Block Two Block Three make Row One. Repeat to make Row Five.

7. Sew (1) 5” Fabric A block, (1) Block Two square, Sew (1)

9. Sew (1) 5” Fabric A block, (1) Block One square, Sew (1)
5” Fabric A block, (1) Block Two square, Sew (1) 5” Fabric A
block and (1) Block Three square together in that order to
make Row Four.

10. Sew the (6) rows together in numerical order to make

the Center Block.

11. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 27 ½” Fabric O strip to each side of the

Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 29 ½” Fabric O strip to the
top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

12. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 29 ½” Fabric L strip to each side of the

Center Block.

13. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 35 ½” Fabric P strip to the top and to the

bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

14. Layer and quilt as desired.

15. Sew the (4) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric M strips together, end

to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this
long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and
press.

16. Bind as desired.
